Notice how the a has an a subset 1 and then a 2 above that one. I dont know how to calculate that value

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

read it as \[\large a_{n+1} = 2(a_n)^2-3\]

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

To obtain the next term, square the present term, multiply the result by 2 and subtract 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So how did they get the 25?
