There are known values of angle 'a' for certain values. for eg. sin 45 = 1/sqrt 2. Hence, a =45 in the first question. For other lesser known values, we use trigonometric tables. i.e. sin a = 1/sqrt 2 =>a= sin inverse (1/ sqrt 2) . Now look for the corresponding value in sine table.
