Help with calculating radians

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

Use a calculator to find the approximate value of the following expression if possible. Express your answers in radians and round to the hundredths. sin^-1(.15)

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

my calculator doesn't like ^-1

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

try `arcsin(0.15)`

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

Thank you :D

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

@ganeshie8 I tried this other practice problem it was sin^-1(2.12) and I got a weird number s: would this be because Impossible since the value is not in the domain of sin^-1(x).

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thats right, the domain of \(\sin^{-1}(x)\) is \([-1, 1]\) it takes complex values outside that domain
