Why were American colonists upset with English rule in the 1760s? A. England didn't allow them to have their own tea parties. B. King George refused to appoint royal governors to the colonies. C. They didn’t want to be “British” anymore. D. Parliament passed new taxes on the colonies, while there still was no representation for the colonists in the English government.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this one's pretty easy. u know the story of the boston tea party?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not off the top of my head no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, it was when a bunch of colonists dressed up like indians and threw over 300 crates of tea into the boston harbor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u remember what they were mad about?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wasn't it about there taxes right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right. it had nothing to do with literal tea parties, they were just mad about high taxes on everything, including tea
