find the volume

OpenStudy (rhystic):

volume of the pyramid = l*w*h/3 you have the heigt of the pyramid and the hypt. of the triangles. you utilize pythagoreas theorom to find the base of half a side and times it by 2. so 26^2=10^2 + x^2 -> solve for x. Multiply x*2 and you have the base. Since according to the diagram both the length and width are equal to x ft. the base is supposed to be a square so really youre left with (x*2)^2*10/3 = volume
