OpenStudy (rayman5766):

Hadar went shopping for supplies for her dog. She spent $14 for dog food, $5 for a collar, and $11 for a leash. What percent of the amount that Hadar spent on the supplies was the price of the leash? Round to the nearest percent, if necessary

OpenStudy (rhystic):

first get the total of the supplies. -> 14+ 5 + 11 = 30 $ then take the leash price and divide by the total price to get the percentage spent on the leash. -> 11/30 take that decimal and multiply by 100 (or move the decimal place over to the right two places) to get your percentage. you should get 11/30 = .3666666 which makes the percentage 36.666666 % rounded to the nearest percent makes 37%.
