How do you write this in a composite function? A grocery store is offering a 50% discount off a $4.00 box of cereal. You also have a $1.00 off coupon for the same cereal. Use a composite function to show whether it is better to use the coupon before or after the store discount.

Hint: try it without functions first. What happens if you use the coupon first and then get 50% off? How about if you get 50% off and then use the coupon?

coupon first is $3 then 50% off is $1.50 if you do the 50% off first you get $2 then the coupon give you $1 but how do you write this in a problem? I have to show work.
