help please will medal @EclipsedStar What effect did the passing of the Embargo Act of 1807 by Jefferson have upon the United States? American production increased. New factory systems developed. Trade with England increased.
Any ideas?
Hmm...I'm referring to this: https://www.boundless.com/u-s-history/textbooks/boundless-u-s-history-textbook/securing-the-republic-1800-1815-11/the-war-in-europe-98/the-embargo-act-of-1807-527-10387/
sorry, the only thing i remember about the embargo act is that if u read it backwards, it says "o grab me" :)
"despite its unpopular nature, the Embargo Act did have some limited, unintended benefits, especially as fledgling capitalist and workers responded by bringing in fresh capital and labor into New England textile and other manufacturing industries, decreasing American reliance on British imports."
..so C is out. Doesn't make sense.
Since the US cut trade and didn't rely much on Britain, that means that they had to make their own supplies right?
Do you think their production increased? :)
Also...in the1800s there were not many factories at all.
so?//??????????
American production increased because they did not rely on other countries to make their own goods.
