Find the area of this triangle. Round the sine value to the nearest hundredth. Round the area to the nearest tenth of a centimeter. A) 29.1 cm2 B) 42.4 cm2 C) 48.9 cm2 D) 58.2 cm2
hello there u can use herons formula to find the area A=sqrt(s*(s-a)*(s-b)*(s-c)) s=(a+b+c)/2
can you do it now?
can u place the numbers in there so i can solve it
a=7.2 b=12.1 c=8.3 s=13.8 A=sqrt(13.8*(13.8-7.2)*(13.8-8.3)*(13.8-12.1))
A=5.96
:)
is that right?
@rohitmathew
you did all the calculations right.. then it is :)
yea but i dont think were done bcs thats not in the answer choices..
can anyone plz help me get the RIGHT answer
There is a side angle side formula
29.18
thats the answer i got..
:).. just try once more
so why did u tell me my answer was correct @rohitmathew
noo.. i didnt calculate and check.. thats why i asked you if you did the calculations right, your answer is right
Area = 1/2 * side1 * sine (angle) * side2 Area = 1/2 * 7.2 * sine (103) * 8.3 Area = 29.88 * 0.97437 Area = 29.1141756
The formula I used is the side angle side formula http://www.1728.org/triang.htm Towards the bottom of the page
thanks @wolf1728
u r welcome :-)
@addicto sorry if i confused you
