Q4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do not know why I keep getting the wrong general solution of N. I always have an extra term, and I can't find my misstep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here are the solutions (not worked out)

OpenStudy (alekos):

In your answer to number 5 the C1x term and the -x term a just combined to C1x

OpenStudy (alekos):

Same with Q1. The -x^2/3 in the particular solution is just combined with C1x^2 in the complementary solution

OpenStudy (alekos):

Same with Q3. C2x^2 term is combined with the x^2 term to get (C2+1)x^2 which is just another constant in front of the x^2

OpenStudy (alekos):

So all your answers are essentially correct. Just group the co-efficients.

OpenStudy (alekos):

Awesome work, by the way.

Ahhh. Sleep deprived I am. Thanks!
