can someone please explain radical functions to me and maybe give an example?

OpenStudy (ilovecake):

This means that to prevent a negative number from appearing under the square root sign, we have to pick x values that are less than or equal to 4. When graphing radical functions, it is important to graph points that are far apart from one another. Hope that helps. I will give you an example too, hold on.
