Why did Gregor Mendel conclude that the genes for flower and seed color in pea plants independently assorted even though both traits are on the same chromosome? The genes are very far apart on the chromosome. Crossing over occurred frequently. The genes are not considered linked. All of the above are correct. @k12andstudyislandhelp
