OK so we have \(\dfrac{240}{25}=\dfrac{x}{45}\) we have to solve for X... Do you know how?
sammixboo (sammixboo):
Wait, would the minutes be the numerator or denominator? Sorry I am confusing myself now o-o
11 years ago
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Idk..
sammixboo (sammixboo):
OK, anyways. Let's start solving for x
sammixboo (sammixboo):
We first cross multiply 240 by 45, so what is 240*45?

OpenStudy (ribhu):
so it will produce 240/25 bolts in 1 minute
11 years ago
OpenStudy (anonymous):
9.6?
OpenStudy (ribhu):
no. of bolts produced in 45 minutes = no. of bolts produced in 1 minute * 45 (which is minutes)
OpenStudy (ribhu):
no. of bolts produced in 45 minutes = 45* 240/25 = 9.6*45 = ??
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so would 432 be the answer

did u get the question?
sammixboo (sammixboo):
Yep. Also (to continue what I was saying) after you cross multiply, you get 10800. Now you divide 10800 by 25 to get 432

OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yess, thanks! Can you help with one more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
What
OpenStudy (ribhu):
patient of 104 lbs needs 130mg medicine.
so 1 mg medicine would be needed by a man of 104/130 lbs
so 278.75mg medicine is needed by 104/130 *278.75 = ??

OpenStudy (ribhu):
