OpenStudy (holly_rachelle):

In "The Tale Of The Forty Thieves", who is the hero or heroine of the story?

OpenStudy (rockinhood):

Is this "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves"?

OpenStudy (rockinhood):

If it is, here a quick explanation of how I feel about it. Ali Baba (or Aladdin) isn't the hero of this story because his name is in the title. The story revolves around him, like when he finds the thieves' den and riches beyond belief. But he doesn't actually do anything heroic. Later in the story the thieves are plotting to kill Ali Baba, but his servant girl, Morgiana finds out about the thieves and saves Ali Baba's life by killing the thieves. The leader finds out and plots AGAIN to kill Ali Baba, and again, Morgiana finds out and plunges a dagger in his chest, killing him. If I would have to say anyone were the hero or heroine in this story, it would definitely be Morgiana, since she saved Ali Baba's life at LEAST twice.

OpenStudy (holly_rachelle):

Oh my gosh, thank you. That one put me in a tailspin for awhile. You just saved my butt. :)

OpenStudy (rockinhood):

No Problem! Do you have any more questions?

OpenStudy (holly_rachelle):

No, not for right now. My English teacher gave me mercy tonight, but I will soon have to write a paper on "The Metamorphosis" by Franz Kafka. I've already read it, so I know how it ends, but if I do need help, you'll be the first person I'll ask. I don't get help all that often, so seeing a website dedicated to helping people is really nice.

OpenStudy (rockinhood):

That's what I thought about OpenStudy! So do you know how to give medals to the best response?

OpenStudy (holly_rachelle):

Uh, no. I became a member of this site a few days ago, I'm still working out the kinks.

OpenStudy (rockinhood):

Just click the blue button next to the "Best Response" and it'll give points to the person who best (Or correctly) answered (or helped) you with your question.

OpenStudy (rockinhood):

Thanks! You can only do that once per question, but you always change it later on! (If someone answers better)

OpenStudy (rockinhood):

lol I had to teach myself the ways of OpenStudy, I am still only a year or so old.

OpenStudy (rockinhood):

Oh! When you are finished getting your answer, go to the top of your question and hit "Close" so others know it was answered! (It goes into an archive so others can see it if they are stuck on the same question!)
