Research Topic: If deforestation happened to all the major rainforests how would it affect the life on Earth?

Do you ever wonder where most of our oxygen comes from? We know that the trees outside of our house makes our oxygen, but where else in the world makes most of our oxygen. If these major sources of oxygen were to disappear what would happen? Would it hurt us or would we be alright with these sources gone? Did you know that rainforests once covered 14% of the Earth’s land surface, but now cover only a mere 6% and in about 40 years the last of the rainforests might disappear? If these problems were to happen then we might be in serious trouble or not?
 Rainforests are one of Earth’s oldest continuous ecosystems and play a significant part in the health of our global environment by digesting and converting carbon dioxide into oxygen. The Amazon Rainforest is the world’s largest rainforest in the world. It is home to nearly 40 million species and produces more than 20% of our oxygen. But this rainforest is just one of many others out there. All rainforests play an important part on Earth. They help build shelter, make oxygen, and takes in carbon dioxide which is a major cause of global warming.
