Please help ! Select all of the statements that can be determined from the table given . X f(x) -4 ,10 -3, 4 -2 ,0 -1 ,0 -1, -2 0, -2 1 ,0 2, 4 3, 10 A) there are x-intercept at (0,-2) and(0,1) B) there is a y-intercept at (0,-2) C) in the interval from x=0 to x=3 , f(x) is decreasing D) there is a line of symmetry at x=0.5
We know A and C are wrong. A) based on those table values, there is no point (0,1), so it can't be true. There's only one x intercept based on that table, and that is (0,-2) C) From x = 0 to 3, f(x) is decreasing. Well just check all the f(x) values from x = 0 to 3, which are -2, 0, 4, and 10. Well the numbers are getting bigger, so obviously it's not decreasing. So this is false as well. All you are doing here is checking the table, there's no real math here, do you think you can verify B and D on your own?
