6.562 rounded to the nearest hundredth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6.600

OpenStudy (gottennis121):

that's not correct. To the right of the decimal point, it goes tenths, hundredths, thousandths etc. So what else do u think it might be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6.60?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Same trick as I mentioned last time: 123.456 1=hundred 2=tens 3-ones (decimal) 4=tenths 5=hundredths 6=thousandth 6.562 would be rounded to 6.560, because 2 is less than 5, so you round down

OpenStudy (beccasmith):

6.06

OpenStudy (beccasmith):

6.04

OpenStudy (beccasmith):

right?

OpenStudy (gottennis121):

Keep number 6.56 the same, is 2 closer to 0 or 10?

OpenStudy (beccasmith):

0.

OpenStudy (gottennis121):

ok, so it would be 6.560, correct? The zero would really be needed. zeros aren't needed if there isn't a number other than zero to the right of that zero

OpenStudy (beccasmith):

thanks

OpenStudy (gottennis121):

I said zero too much. :P

OpenStudy (gottennis121):

no prob. :)
