Which detail from the passage should be included in the summary? Sea cucumber guts are full of poison and the predator gets a mouthful of it. Even our pets show these behaviors when they scratch with their claws, bite, and growl. When Malaysian soldier ants feel threatened, they wait until their enemy gets close enough to die. Predators lurk everywhere and some animals have evolved extreme ways to defend themselves.

The best way to find the summary of an article is to understand how a well-written article itself is written. A informational text is usually written as follows: 1. Introduction of the subject, i.e. what we are going to talk about, and sometimes why we want to talk about the subject. 2. Examples to illustrate the phenomenon, behaviour, that we are describing. 3. A final paragraph or paragraphs, usually consisting of a \(summary\) of the examples, and the conclusion drawn from the examples, if any. Reread the article and see if you can identify the above features.
