That happens when Mathjax (what \(\LaTeX\) uses fails to load on the page. So it gives you that eror ._.

firefox is very bad for openstudy... cant load anything anymore... openstudy has officially been announced as unusable on firefox... srsly doesnt anyone know this stuff... recommendd browsers are ie11 or chrome (use chrome :P)
