one way is to solve a proportion
the move common sense way is to figure out the speed
if you drive 125 in 2.5 hours, what is your speed?

50.... I suck in solving fractions
first you need to find the speed in `miles/hours`. if he drove 125 miles in 2, 1/2 hours (which is same as 125 miles in 5/2 hours) So how many miles in 1 hour would that be?
you said it was 50, which is correct. Now, knowing that he drives 50 miles per 1 hour, how much will he drive in 6 hours?
300 ;)
yay
