True or False: Although crimes can be committed against individuals, a crime is always considered a crime against society.

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

What do you think the answer is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think this is true, because something that affects one person almost always affects everybody else.

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

That's true, however, take a look at the FBI's website: http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/nibrs/2012/resources/crimes-against-persons-property-and-society

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh , alright, I'll look at it and thank you!!

I'm reading the website you sent me and it gives examples of each of the crimes that affect society and one individual, so I guess I was wrong?

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

Yes, but what you said about crimes affecting everyone is true, however according to the official FBI website, they are different crimes.

Oh, alright, thanks again!!
