A police officer is dispatched to Union St. When he arrives to the home, it is reported to him by neighbors that a husband was abusing his wife. The wife confirms the story, and the husband is arrested shortly thereafter. Which of the following is TRUE about the case that would follow? A. When the husband is charged, the case would be a criminal case. B. The wife gets charged, and the case would be a civil case. C. When the husband is charged, the charge would be homicide. D. When the husband is charged, he would likely be charged under tort laws for negligence.
I'm torn on this one because neglience means ''LAW failure to use reasonable care, resulting in damage or injury to another.'' but then again abuse is a criminal case.
c thats what i would say
Why would it be homocide? He didn't kill anybody. Thank you for your help either way!!
yourwelcome hope you get the answer
D because. a tort law usually goes under the Civil case in this matter it would be D because, most civil cases have to do with families and it is a family case
and a Tort is just another word for civil
I put D and it told me I was wrong, even though you are correct in that. Thank you both either way !!! I think I'll just put A for the quiz retake.
Oh wow 'm in Business Law how can that be
I don't know, this program I have to do is weird though so don't think you're wrong, what you said made a lot of sense.
