Some portion of the milk produced in the United States comes from cows treated with genetically manipulated hormones that increase a cow's milk production. This increased production helps farmers make a better return on their investment in each cow. What aspect of this biotechnology must be fully understood before the benefits can be justified?

we cant just be going around stuffing chemicals in animals and have people drink it. for it to be fully justified, we'd have to know about what may happen to the consumers of the milk.
