you can solve \[x+y=724\] where say x is number of student tickets and y is number of adult tickets so also \[x-74=y\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you put \(x-74\) in for \(y\) in the first equation you get \[x+(x-74)=724\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have it, 325.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or \[2x-74=724\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes \(325\) adult and therefore \(399\) student
