OpenStudy (18jonea):

How do enhancers accelerate the transcription of a gene? RNA polymerase catalyzes the formation of transcription factors at the enhancer that migrate down the DNA double helix to the promoter, switching the gene on. The DNA molecule folds back so the enhancer and its transcription factors come in contact with the promoter region, switching the gene on. RNA splicing cuts the enhancer out and relocates it closer to the promoter region, so the transcription factors can switch the gene on. All of the above are correct. @Somy @pooja195 @sleepyjess @jagr2713
