There are 7 people fishing at Lake Connor: 5 have fishing licenses, and 2 do not. An inspector chooses two of the people at random. What is the probability that the first person chosen has a license and the second one does not? Write your answer as a fraction in simplest form.

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

First, what is the probability of the first part, that the first person will have a license? Then, after removing one person with a license from the possible choices (So there will be 6 people total, and 4 have licenses), what's the probability of choosing someone without a license? Multiply the two probabilities.
