PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!!!! NEED HELP WITH CALC 2 PROBLEM A square plate with sides a is submerged vertically in water as shown. Express the hydrostatic force against one side of the plate as an integral and evaluate it. (Use delta for δ, the weight density constant.)

OpenStudy (simoner):

CAN SOMEONE JUST HELP ME DETERMINE THE INTEGRAL?

OpenStudy (simoner):

PLEASE? I'M NOT COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDING THE PROBLEM AND CANT FIND AN EXAMPLE THAT WOULD HELP EXPLAIN IT

OpenStudy (simoner):

um that didnt really help at all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What bothers you about this explanation?

OpenStudy (simoner):

i just need a normal explanation for this problem

OpenStudy (simoner):

not a general explanation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"A square plate with sides a is submerged vertically in water as shown". The 'as shown' means there is a graph. without it I can only guess how exactly it is placed in the water. What if it doesn't touch the surface? So I posted an article going through that kind of problems and could work for any case =)
