Find the area of the paper that remains. Use the value 3.14 for pi , and do not round your answer. Be sure to include the correct unit in your answer.

\[Area = length ~\times~ width\]

so the diagram looks roughly like



the 2 semicircles form 1 full circle with the same radius

so the area remaining is

\[Area ~ Left = Rectangle~ Area - Circle~Area\]
