OpenStudy (igreen):

I think Ambassadors should have more privileges.

OpenStudy (igreen):

1. Be able to warn(not ban) 2. Be able to close posts(not delete)

OpenStudy (igreen):

Those are the two I think they should have..

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

i think so to but, some will abuse the power

OpenStudy (igreen):

Um, no..if the Ambassadors are chosen by OS, then they would make sure they're worthy to wield such power :P

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

then talk to preetha lol

pooja195 (pooja195):

I would agree but ambi's aren't mods that would be a mods job and warnings still go on records im thinking if you have an outstanding amount there would be a problem thats why maybe we should just leave it at mods having power.Ambi's are only supposed to welcome people and be nice :) they can a;ways pm users to take their post down or something and then tell a mod when they come online. And last but not least AMBI'S ARE NOT MODS! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I totally agree with you @pooja195 Ambi's do get less priviledges because some are younger, and less expirienced therefore, yeah "AMBI'S ARE NOT MODS!" :3

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

I also agree with @pooja195 cause she's smart and stuffs and ambis can still enforce the rules, just not to the extent of mods. It's all fine, and just a different role than mods.

OpenStudy (igreen):

\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @pooja195 Ambi's are only supposed to welcome people and be nice :) \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Yes, but I think they make Ambassadors too much like regular users.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well... i mean, yeah i guess @iGreen but, u can't make them TOO different from users because then its harder for them to welcome new users since they are somewhat superior...understand?

OpenStudy (igreen):

. . . No..that doesn't make any sense..

OpenStudy (igreen):

How is being superior to them limit their ability to Welcome new users?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Moderators still welcome users, and they are much superior over them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

~sigh~ meh

OpenStudy (igreen):

xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's all i got XD

OpenStudy (igreen):

\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @iPwnBunnies I also agree with @pooja195 cause she's smart and stuffs and ambis can still enforce the rules, just not to the extent of mods. OpenStudy (igreen):

So it's still 'not to the extent of mods'

pooja195 (pooja195):

Wouldnt that still be the same as moderating?

OpenStudy (igreen):

No, I believe it isn't

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought that ambi's had those priviledges! No, i totally do agree that they should be able to warn (not ban)... about the question closing thing, that should be left to the mods.. (in my opinion) since it is considered moderating

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

But mods send official warnings and stuff. Ambis can still 'warn' abusive users with words and stuff. They have some type of standing or authority on this site.

pooja195 (pooja195):

I would say it is because ambi's are to welcome people and be nice they can stop things without using harsh actions

pooja195 (pooja195):

If ambi's had that type of power they would think they're a mod so i would disagree with this

OpenStudy (igreen):

\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @iPwnBunnies But mods send official warnings and stuff. Ambis can still 'warn' abusive users with words and stuff. They have some type of standing or authority on this site. \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Though it's the same as a regular user..I can still send messages to people.

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

But a regular user, like me, theoretically doesn't have the rank or standing as an ambi.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mhmhhhm ^^

pooja195 (pooja195):

Is it really nessessary for ambi's to have power its not really a big deal the job of an ambi is to be nice and WELCOME PEOPLE not to close questions and warn people

OpenStudy (igreen):

That's the job OS assigned to them, so yes..of course..this would just be adding things on. It's like 'Qualified Helpers' there'll be a paid version of OS, but everything now will still be the same.

OpenStudy (king.void.):

I said something about this on my other account

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Amazing ideas. @iGreen I totally agree.

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

i agree with @iGreen b.c regular members can welcome new users and so can mods and ambi's. It would be great for ambis to get privileges on warning someone and after that warning, tell a mod you warned the person an they will go on for there.

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

@iGreen is there a problem with ambis being like regular users? You seem to like the idea that ambis should have a higher social status with some abilities that mods have...

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Ambassadors are trained. I think it would be smart to give a bit of power to the people who know how to use it.

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Oh ok, I get it.

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

yea what @confluxepic said

OpenStudy (king.void.):

People be thinking they know everything...

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

what do you mean by that @King.Void.

OpenStudy (king.void.):

I'm talking about @EclipsedStar

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Lol http://prntscr.com/69emv4 <--- that's why I made that comment earlier XD

OpenStudy (king.void.):

I'm not even going for ambi, ha!

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

didn't u apply?^^

pooja195 (pooja195):

@confluxepic their still underage remember mods have the rights to do what they do because they are old enough and understand ambi's go through training and all but not like mods do I disagree with this idea

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

I took that into consideration already. @pooja195

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

I could have worded that better.

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

I already took that into consideration.

OpenStudy (igreen):

\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @EclipsedStar @iGreen is there a problem with ambis being like regular users? You seem to like the idea that ambis should have a higher social status with some abilities that mods have... \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Um..if Ambassadors are like normal users, there's no point in making Ambassadors..

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

true^

OpenStudy (igreen):

Plus, like @confluxepic said, they're trained..they're not just some random people OS picks..

pooja195 (pooja195):

I was an ambi and its special to have an A it made me feel like a leader and a representative of OS is that not enough?Do they really need power?

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Oh btw is this true? I didn't know this http://prntscr.com/69evcw

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

It's true. @EclipsedStar

OpenStudy (igreen):

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

OpenStudy (igreen):

But @girlover didn't, and their excuse was 90 days total on OS, not days studied.

OpenStudy (igreen):

@EclipsedStar Do you think you have at least 90 days on OS? :P

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Nope! XD

OpenStudy (igreen):

Oh, that's too bad..I didn't hear them say anything about it this year though.

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

She has less than 50.

OpenStudy (king.void.):

LOL!!!!

OpenStudy (girlover):

@iGreen I had a lot more than 90 days studied and 90 days on openstudy before i became an ambie

pooja195 (pooja195):

And i was ambi before all of u i used to think we needed power we dont

OpenStudy (girlover):

Having the A by my name is a sign that I am looked up to but as to welcome and be nice to people and answer any questions they might have. Having the A by my name just lets people, new people, know that we are trusted users just like any common user.

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

^ This. I'm basically saying you already have some power and authority, given the A mark. You're different than a regular user.
