which leukocyte is predominant in the blood smear?Explain by comparing it with other leukocytes and red blood cells in the blood smear.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The most predominant leukocyte is the neutrophil, accounting for 50-70% of leukocytes. Lymphocytes (T and B cells) are the next most common, at 20-30%. Eosinophils and monocytes each represent less than about 5% of leukocytes, while basophils are rarest, at less than 1%. RBCs are the most common cell found in the blood, and they outnumber leukocytes by about 1000:1. The specific proportions of each cell type vary based on the person's health, the assay done, etc, but in a healthy person the above is a good representation of relative proportions.
