Following the end of British colonial rule in India in 1947, the Kashmir region experienced several wars and a great deal of unrest because a. poor residents of Kashmir have fought for more economic opportunities. b. the area has been invaded repeatedly by the Soviet Union. c. communist and democratic groups have fought for control of the region. d.India and Pakistan both believe they should control the region.
