I wrote a poem in memory of Jessica Marie Forsyth. It's really sad so don't read it if you don't want to!

The day starts normal.
No one knows the horror to come.
No one knew the regret they would feel
The loss in their lives.

It was a nice day
A good day to ride
No school, sun finally out
Jessica went to the barn.
No one knew this was a bad decision.

She was the only one.
But she didn’t mind.
Boomer was very excited.
She lunged him and let him splash through the puddles.
It was a fun afternoon.

Then, she got on.
The start of the very worst.
No one knew how bad this could be.

It was a good ride.
She had fun, took pictures and videos
She even started to jump a little.
Just a usual day at the barn so far.

Now the worst part came.
She took off her saddle,
And decided to ride bareback.
She was a good rider, capable of doing this
But she had little control without a saddle.

Boomer had a problem of bolting after fences.
But like she was taught,
She turns him to the gate to stop.
The jump everyone hates was next.
She jumped, he bolted, the camera died, she was alone.
No one to hear her screams, no one to help her.

She couldn’t stop him.
Her hands were bruising.
No one was around to help.
She turns Boomer to the fence.
No one knows what happened.
Did he try to jump? Did he flip over?
All we know
Is we lost Jessica.
Bad injuries, killing her instantly.
Her dad found her later.

quite a while ago 7 years but her death anniversary just passed so I've been thinking about her and wrote this

oh ok..i had a good friend that loved horses..her name was cheyenne..i miss her and now i see a poem of a 14 year old horse lover...cheyenne isnt dead but i havent seen her in 2 years
