s the example a complete sentence, sentence fragment, or run-on sentence? Penelope has a large stuffed bear on her bed. A. complete sentence B. sentence fragment C. run-on sentence

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Doesn't look like it needs commas or other punctuation, so I would cancel out C.

OpenStudy (conqueror):

What would you say ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Does it have a subject and a verb ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no????

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

why do you say b? think of all of the components you need for a complete sentence (subject+verb). Only if you're missing one or both of those things is it a sentence fragment.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

and yes it does. the subject is Penelope. The verb is has.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk i just thought it was b this subject is new to me

OpenStudy (conqueror):

That's ok, so do you know what your answer is and why ?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

oh. Well, it's not a sentence fragment.... what do you think it is, now that you can cross out sentence fragment?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so A???????????

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Yes, A...because it has a subject and a verb, and uses correct punctuation.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

good job :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx for helping me

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

No problem!
