A training field is designed by joining a rectangle and two semicircles, as shown below. The rectangle is 90 long and 59 wide. What is the length of a training track running around the field? (Use the Pi 3.14 , and do not round your answer. Be sure to include the correct unit in your answer.)

I came up with 365.26 m?

1.Graph and identify the coordinates of a rectangle with a length of at least 5 units and a width of at least 2 units. Each vertex of the rectangle must be in a different quadrant. Two of the points must have rational coordinates that are not integers. 2.A person who weighs 130 pounds can burn about 300 calories per hour skateboarding. Write a function that relates the calories burned, c, to the number of hours, h, spent skateboarding. Identify the independent and dependent variable. Create a function table for values of h equal to 1, 2, 3, and 4. Graph the function on a coordinate plane. 3.Your parents allow you to play video games for no more than 8 hours a week. You have already played for 2.5 hours this week. Write and solve an inequality that represents how much more time you can play video games this week. Graph the solution on a number line

OpenStudy (welshfella):

think of the 2 semicircles as one circle with diameter 59 so length of the curved part = 3.14 * 59 then there are 2 lengths of 90 yds so total length is 2*90 + 3.14* 59

OpenStudy (welshfella):

your total is correct @faine

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@welshfella thank you. The weird replies above you were further confusing me. So I did (L * 2)+(3.14 * W) = 365.26 Meters.
