find the probability of rolling a 10 with two dice... the answer is 3/56 but im not sure how

do you mean 3/36 or 1/12 ?

if you make a table

and fill in each spot with the sum of the dice, you will find only 3 places where the sum is 10
there are 6*6= 36 possible sums
so the probability of 10 is 3 out of 36 or 3/36, or 1/12
