How did nationalism threaten the existing political order of the nineteenth century?

OpenStudy (jokersmart):

Nationalism was one of the reasons people started to imperialize, and when ever a coubtry starts to imperialize it often show the political and the military power of a country. Africa is a great example of this, china is another example with the foriegn influences and the spheres of influenes, and lastly is the negative effect, when russia lost the the Russo-Japanesse War, the people of Russia were not proud to be Russian because Russia became the FIRST "white" nation to lose to an "asian" nation in the world. With this lost the throne of the czar was beginning to loosen, and later one it would be abbicated. Hopefully this help in the slightest.
