Well, I do agree that we learn from mistakes. Experience. What do you mean by that? Did you mean, "Do we learn from experience?"

I say yes and no people do learn from past experiences such as mistakes if they've done something wrong MOST of the time they learn they're lesson however then there are the ones that dont they are the ones that end up in jail OOO i have a good example
A person gets suspended off OS for using foul language (the consequence)
They usually learn their lesson and dont repeat their mistake then again there are people that will just repeat it

If you're saying the things we learn from past experiences stay with us for the rest of our existence on earth, than i wholeheartedly agree.

something that tends to stick out to me are the bad experiences in life because those are the experiences that can teach you something; teach you not to make the same mistakes in life.

However, any experience is good for your, whether it's work experience so that you can get jobs easier, or if you've done something right, then you can repeat what you did right.

Ofc, the same principles apply when you're at OS. Think back to the days in which we were all reprimanded for stuff that we did wrong and we didn't know about because we were newbs :P

As stated above, we do learn from experiences and mistakes. What might happen if we never had any mistakes or never experienced anything(Never tried something new)? Just throwing things out. Doesn't necessarily have to be answered.

our past experiences tend to stay with us...if it's a good experience, we'll remember it fondly and if not, then we will look back at what happened with remorse and do our best to never repeat the day mistakes were made.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is that mistakes can't be prevented, but good choice-making on our behalves can really determine the experiences we deal with in life. :)
