How do you find the outliers in a set of numbers?

OpenStudy (pounce0129):

an outlier is a number that is smaller or larger than the number in a given set. for example, {-2,-1,0,1,2,3,15}. in this case 15 would be the outlier because it is larger then the rest of the numbers.
