@nincompoop @EclipsedStar @Miracrown @Hotchellerae21, can you help me

Miracrown (miracrown):

Got any ideas?

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

A.or B.

Miracrown (miracrown):

Do you know the definition for some of these terms?

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

Yes, Parasitism, I forgot, Sorry ugh

Miracrown (miracrown):

So commensalism is when two organisms interact and one of them benefits but the other is unaffected - it doesnt have a positive or negative impact. in parasitism, one organism benefits while the other is harmed

Miracrown (miracrown):

So in this question the hermit crab is benefiting. It gets protection from the discarded snail shell, but what about the snail?

Miracrown (miracrown):

Is the snail being harmed by the hermit crab taking its discarded shell?

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

No

Miracrown (miracrown):

Right, since the shell isn't being used by the snail any more so which one would it be?

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

http://prntscr.com/694tug

Miracrown (miracrown):

Yes, you're right! It would be a, commensalism

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

Thank you so much :)

Miracrown (miracrown):

Nw :)
