OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

I have never had trouble writing a poem but I'm just not sure what to write about. I want to keep writing about the same as I have been but I have made a lot of poems already and want to do something different.

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

So does anyone have topic ideas?

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

and I can write a different type of poem as well. Please give suggestions! (haiku, free verse, odes, rhyming, etc)

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

@MakaylaTracy @ispike

OpenStudy (anonymous):

start off with a free verse to get u into it and see where that takes u

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Alright. That's what I usually do. Topic idea?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A runaway girl trying to find what she was brought in to this world to do

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Hmmm. Very interresting but I think it will work. I will post what I make her. Then you can help me make it better.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Think this is a good start: Why am I here? the question is always in my mind always making me feel odd. But how do I find my purpose when I am here? I must escape. I have to get away.

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

I don't like it. It just reads oddly.

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

You really have to read it more than once before you get the flow of the words. But if I change it, it's like a story, not a poem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay take the question out it makes it seem less of a mystery

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Ok. I like the last two lines. Maybe I will start with those. Think that would read better?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it would

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Alright.

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Here's a new start: I must escape. I have to get away. I'm just a girl in a big, big world. I want to make a difference. I need to go. I need to find why I am here and what my purpose is.

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

I like that a little better for a start.

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Of course the poem is going to get much longer. But should I just leave it short? If I make the poem tell her whole story, then it might get too long. So what if i leave it like that^ and let people use their imaginations to think f the rest of the story. Like where she is, her situation, where she goes, what she does. Do you like that idea?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

me too it fits the poem bettter

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

yeah

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Anymore ideas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@horsegirl27 you know whats funny ..this freeverse poem sounds alot like that rap i wrote remember?...like when i said "Where do i belong?"..it just does..

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

You think? I guess so.

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Have any ideas about another topic @koolkat13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well recently ive been trying to make poems on emotions and feelings like happiness sadness and depression you think you could make something out of that?

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Sure! I will post it here when I write it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

coolio make sure ya tag me

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

ok :P

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Any more ideas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i cant think of any

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try writing about -story of an orphan in a poetic way in the orphan's pov -a ghost who doesn't know it is dead already. For example, it misses someone(family, friend, etc) but it can't do anything until it accepts that it doesn't exist anymore. -granparents perspectives about their children and their children's children -a writer/artist who stopped being artistic...or their masterpieces are not being appreciated by people anymore because of the new techs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry for the grammar mistakes and typos lol

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):
