OpenStudy (kobeni-chan):

Please HELP! Medal & Fan, I need to have this done :( Hannah is managing a small park and has been analyzing the attendance data. Hannah has found that the number of visitors increases exponentially as the temperature increases. Hannah has also found a linear equation that models the number of people who leave the park early depending on the temperature. Describe how Hannah can combine these two functions to make a new function, and explain what that function would predict.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the equation would be like y=x^x power and the linear would tell u what the base x is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

possibly im not certain but thats what i thought it would be

OpenStudy (kobeni-chan):

I thought x would be the temperature..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whoa i didnt even see the thing about temperature sorry

OpenStudy (kobeni-chan):

that's fine, at least you gave some kind of input lol

OpenStudy (kobeni-chan):

do you think the combined function would be both increasing and decreasing, since the visitors coming would increase and the visitors leaving would be a decrease?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have seen this question before the only answer i know of is to add them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add the functions that is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would predict the number of people in the park given the temperature

OpenStudy (kobeni-chan):

hmm ok, I think that helps @satellite73
