@LittleRedRiding Put your finger on gymnosperms and angiosperms and move backwards, down the tree, until they meet. Now do this with angiosperms and all other groups named.

This tree is rooted, which means it makes an inherent statement about time. The points where your fingers meet represent the point of the split. As your fingers move down the tree they move backwards in time.
