If np is greater or equal to 5 and nq greater or equal to 5, estimate P(fewer than 7) with n = 14 and p = 0.5 by using the normal distribution as an approximation to the binomial distribution; if np < 5 or nq < 5, then state that the normal approximation is not suitable.
I just realized that I made a mistake and I don't know how to edit it not but p=0.6, not 0.5. Sorry about that, this is my last class and my husband just passed a couple of weeks ago and I have been a basket case, and I put this class off because this is not one of my strong areas so anyone that could help me, I would appreciate it immensely. This is a question on my pretest and I do not even know how to do the steps. It has taken me 4 days to do 10 problems. So anyone that understands this and can help me, it would make my life a little more bearable for all i am dealing with. Thank you so much. slomono
Also P(fewer than 7) is actually P(fewer than 8). Sorry about all the confusion, I am really struggling. Thank you for any help anyone can give me. Sincerely, slomono
