A projectile of mass 3.0 kg is launched from the ground at initial velocity 25 m/s at an angle 30 degrees with the horizontal. The air resistance is negligible. The projectile explodes at the top point of the trajectory into two pieces, of masses 1.0 kg and 2.0 kg. Immediately after the explosion, the smaller piece has the velocity that is equal in both magnitude and direction to the initial velocity of the projectile. Find the speed of the larger piece immediately after the explosion. Hint: find the x- and y-components first.
