OpenStudy (shes.radical):

I just need the explanation! Not sure why this is the answer..please explain? Use the Negative Exponent Property to convert 1/8 to exponential form Answer: Any denominator can be moved to the numerator by switching the sign on the exponent. 1/8 = 1/2^3 = 2^−3 My question is..where the hell did the 3 come from??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cuz fuk logic thats why

OpenStudy (shes.radical):

\[\frac{ 1 }{ 8 }=\frac{ 1 }{ 2^{3} }=2^{-3}\]

OpenStudy (ribhu):

2^3 is 8 this is the reason they have taken 3

OpenStudy (shes.radical):

Wow I feel like the biggest idiot..lmao thank you!
