Really need help! Ill give medal! what was the response of the states to Andrew Jackson's reaction to supreme court decision in favor of the Cherokee in Worcester v. Georgia Some states chose to begin attacking native American settlement. Tennessee and Kentucky decided to reject Jackson's plan for removal. Georgia and other states felt encouraged to remove the Native Americans. Many states began to change their plans for removal to focus more on compromise.

Jackson at least temporarily embraced Marshall's vision of judicial authority, issuing a proclamation of the Supreme Court's ultimate power to decide constitutional questions and emphasizing that its decisions had to be obeyed. When Marshall died three years later, Jackson hailed him as a national hero -- but he also appointed men to the Court who would move Marshall's nationalism in the direction of states' rights.
