Watch Eye Contact at least once through without stopping and once again to take notes after each of the three segments Use your notes to write a three paragraph film critique. This will be your presentation script for your review of Eye Contact Your critique should cover the following material in three well-developed paragraphs. Be sure to use transitions between ideas and between paragraphs. Your critique should flow smoothly. Paragraph 1 Begin by immediately rating the film (“Eye Contact deserves 4 out of 5 stars!” for example.). The rest of your presentation will explain your rating.

Paragraph 1 Begin by immediately rating the film (“Eye Contact deserves 4 out of 5 stars!” for example.). The rest of your presentation will explain your rating. Include in this first paragraph a brief summary of the important story elements of the film. Who are the characters? Where does the action of the film take place? What happens? What do you think the film maker wants you to think, feel, or do while watching? Refer back to the notes taken while watching. I would rate this film a 4/5 stars. Most of the parts in the film were good but I think there was just a little bit too much of the jogger running. I think that the film could use less of her running by taking out one of the clips where she enters into the empty road, because there’s two of those. The important story elements of this film is the theme, setting, and tone because that’s what hypes up the mood of the film. The characters are a girl who is jogging, and an anon ghost. The action of the film takes place near a beach, the woods, and the girl’s house. While the girl is jogging, she sees a mysterious figure that seems to be following her. I think that the film maker wants me to feel like I’m in suspense and curious while watching. Paragraph 2 Discuss the suspense techniques used in the movie. Which literary suspense techniques (foreshadowing, flashback, imagery, etc.) are present in the film? Which techniques specific to film (camera angles, types of shots, soundtrack, and special effects) are used to create suspense? Are the techniques used effectively? Why or why not? Be sure to describe specifics from the film in the same way you would quote “textual evidence” in an essay. Refer back to the notes taken while watching the film. The suspense techniques that were used in this film are the imagery, third person, and foreshadowing. Specific techniques that were used to create suspense were camera angles, fast clips, and dramatic music. Yes I think that they were used effectively because there was a lot of it. There were a lot fast moving clips while the girl was being followed/chased.
no problemo :)
