how is my essay?
President John F. Kennedy should not be awarded a peace prize for his role in the Cuban Missile Crisis, but the reason for doing it is because he was doing his job. As President it was his responsibility to make sure the United States of America has security. Allowing the USSR a first strike capability with a small window of opportunity which may encourage them to take advantage of the situation and attack the United States of America while they could, but it was not in the best interests of America's security. We seem to only focus on the things that Russia did, but we should be looking at the bigger picture. Like why would they place missiles in Cuba? This is only 90 miles away from borders of the United States of America. Maybe it is because we placed missiles in Turkey, about 90 miles from Russia in 1961. What John F. Kennedy did was avoid a nuclear disaster that he almost caused. Thankfully Robert F. Kennedy could talk to the Soviet Union and come to an agreement both removals of the missiles and peace between the two countries. John f Kennedy’s role in the Cuban missile crisis was a big one. Some people say he should have been awarded a peace prize while others say no. Like most I agree that he did have a negative and positive role in the problem. This is why President John F. Kennedy should not be awarded a peace prize.
what exactly is the topic of the essay from your teacher?
Did President John F. Kennedy avert a nuclear disaster during the Cuban Missile Crisis? Do you think he should be awarded a peace prize for his role in the crisis? Write a well-organized essay of three paragraphs that gives your opinion in this matter and describes the role John F. Kennedy played in the Cuban Missile Crisis
was it only suppose to be 3 paragraphs, or are you not required for the intro and conclusion?
