OpenStudy (girlgoyleh.):

In this question, it would be A. She was asked humming birds are attracted my brother was told those are in passive voice

OpenStudy (girlgoyleh.):

do you see the difference? the subject She isnt doing the verb, "asked"

OpenStudy (girlgoyleh.):

that applies to the other 2. In A, they are telling the subject (in this case, you) to do the verb, "change"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In the passive voice, the subject of the sentence is neither a do-er or a be-er, but is acted upon by some other agent or by something unnamed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/passive.htm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not quite...In active voice, the subject is doing something, while in passive voice, the subject is acted upon by something. Example: Active voice: The students took the test Passive: The test was taken by the students Get it now? :)
