MEDAL AND FAN Julie counted 25 players on a visiting soccer team. The actual number of players on the visiting soccer team was 27. What is the percent error in Julie’s measurement? If necessary, round to the nearest percent.

OpenStudy (winsteria):

@acxbox22 @Agl202

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Percent error is: (What you got - what you should have got) * 100 / what you should have got So in this case: (25-27) * 100 / 27 = 7.407 with the (.407) repeating

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7% Percent error is: (25-27) * 100 / 27 = 7.40 repeating

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have already said that

OpenStudy (winsteria):

So what's the percent for my answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sigh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7.407

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you find out what percentage that is?

OpenStudy (winsteria):

740.7%? @TheHangingTree

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (winsteria):

It doesn't allow me to put all of those numbers in for my answer I don't know why @TheHangingTree

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7.407% rounded as the question stated to 7%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is the answer, I'm not sure why it wouldn't. Where/how are you typing it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no.. if it were 7.40 with a repeating 0 then it would be 7.4% but in this case there is a 7 after the 0

OpenStudy (winsteria):

I don't know what to put it I might just try 7% because it isn't allowing that big of a number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"If necessary, round to the nearest percent." So again 7%.

OpenStudy (winsteria):

Thank you
